INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Ok new coop pics! This is the chickshaw 2.0 I mentioned a while back. It will always be inside electric fence. Still need metal on the back, corner trim on sheet metal edges and paint doors. I will probably paint ramp too so it lasts longer. We used hardware cloth on all the openings.

That's a pretty slick little mobile coop. How many chickens will you put in it?

Good morning fellow Indiana BYCers. I'd like to find a Barnevelder rooster for my 3 Barnie hens. Last year there was a lady selling Silver Barnevelder chicks and hatching eggs on Craigslist. She was on the east side of Indy. She also had "British tailed Araucanas" for sale, which I believe were discussed in this thread, and someone on here had bought some of those?

I was hoping I could find this lady. She hasn't listed anything on CL yet this year. Anybody know who I'm talking about? I hesitate to post an ISO ad on CL if I don't have to.

I imagined what your CL ad would be like 'looking for large, dark, roo, ideally, Barnevelder...' That made me chuckle. :lau

When I began raising chickens, among the first rookie mistakes I made was giving 3-day old chicks live mealworm treats. One of them choked, and I swung it upside down by it's feet to dislodge the worm from it's mouth. Horrified, I'd caused some sort of trauma to the chick, I looked on Google to see what I should've done. This was my Google search "What to do for Choking Chick". Again--I WAS HORRIFIED at the results my search came back with.

When I 1st started out with chickens I did a google search on Black Sex Linked chicks.
You can just imagine my horror when some of those images popped up! It was an innocent mistake which DH still teases me about it today.

Did you cut the crate for opening, or purchase them that way?
Yes the crate is cut by us.

Thanks! 6 at most, I feel like that's pushing it. They are only in it at night and will be out all day.
