Quote: Lol, thats how you learn, by doing. Its ok if its too much, you want extra to restart the bucket. The grain, I would just sprout that! Super nutritious! and IF your flock doesn't free range yet, its super healthy for them too, just don't forget the grit so they can digest it. You may have to soak overnight what you want to sprout, theres a good thread on sprouting too!

Danand- I'm so sorry for your loss!

I am a dog owner as well-- two female miniature dachshunds (one is closer to standard!). They have run away from us randomly a few times--- mainly because they know they can just stop and their collars will slide off. But this is when we are with them so we chase them and get them back. In the process of figuring out a fence for the yard. Even when we get the fence, we would never let them outside and leave the property. We spoil them but we also know they are safe and others are safe from them.

Is anyone on here breeding seabrights? Also how many chickens can this coop hold

I have 5 but would love to have a seabright or black silkie this year. Or a Swedish flower hen. I want them real bad!! Anyone have any for sale... (Stupid chicken math)

I saw some seabrights listed on Craigslist 4 silver and 4 golden in the Lafayette/Dayton area.

Don't know how you feel about buying from there but they did have pics of them.

do bantam cochins spurs get long?
Am not sure AL, I haven't owned any yet. try feathersite, it has very good descriptions of each breed. Or check the SOP possibly too.
