Chicks for sale. 2 are mixed breed from great layers. $2 each 1 is purebred standard blue cochin $5 must take all 3.

Ahhhh... My husband would kill me. I really wanted a Cochin this year but couldn't find one. Why do you temp me so?

So how many chicks does everyone have?   I always hear about your chickens, but I can't figure out who has just a few (maybe living in the city) and who has more than say 15 or so.  I would love to know because that is how my brain works.  LOL  Are there any on here that raise chickens for profit?  If so, how many do you have? 

Also would love to know who on here has more than 5 years experience?    I love to learn from anyone's experience, but it would be nice to know who has been through this many times over and who is just starting out, like me.

I have 10 and am a complete and total noob. Going on week 3 with my chicks and am loving it. It's been so fun watching their personalities develop and seeing them learn new things. They've just starting taking dust baths and its adorable! So glad I found this site and especially this thread! You have all been so helpful and encouraging.

we are up to 80. about 20 adults. have another batch of eggs hatching on the16th.

Well, I have 29 chickens and I am also a complete noob! I am really enjoying all the new things as the chickens develop their own little personalities. My favorite thing so far is the chest bumping. They run full speed toward each other and do this chest bump dance. LOVE IT!

I will soon be down to 24 because we accidentally picked up 5 Cornish X birds at Rural King because they were miss marked.

But, it will make a good dinner a family get together.

I love finding out how many chicken everyone has. I was amazed at the 80 and counting on the previous post. WOW

! Some day I hope to have that many!!!!

I'm at 70 chickens total, 12 hens and 58 chicks. And 70 eggs in the incubator.....I'm screwed lol

i guess i shouldn't shock you more when i tell you we have only had chickens for a year and we had to start our entire life over when our home burned down in January. oops..

Well I have 30 chickens 23 hens a breeding pair and 5 chicks there all pets but I sell the eggs and will be selling the babys from my breeding pair

I come home from school to find out my dad let Ms May out with the big girls ...they seem to like her cuz she was dust bathing with the big girls it was so cute I guess with out Mr Frizz bothering them they could mingle better. But I'm still happy there getting along
