INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Thanks for sharing your experience -- maybe there aren't as bad as we thought they might be, judging from the comments that have been posted.  We'd still need to figure our how/where to house them.  They do fly?  So is it possible to keep them in a fenced in pasture or will they fly over?

They will fly over a fence like it isn't even there. However, from my experience, they don't fly unless they're panicked. I've also noticed that if they want through, but the fence is wire, not solid, then they'll pace there trying to find a way around the fence at ground level rather than fly over it. Or maybe my Guinea boys are just dumb.

Do you all take your chickens to a farm animal vet or an Avian vet? I'm trying to find one just in case I ever need one. I found an Avian vet in Indy that see chickens, whats your preference?

Ok so my daughter does not understand hygiene and give the dogs a bite takes a bite gives takes and my wife says she tries to stop it but she is just too giving. I told her if she doesn't put an end to it she has to worm her :)

This is one of my own chicks, loving the foot feathering and I believe it's a girl. It has no comb what so ever. My 11 year olds favorite chick from this hatch.

This chick is my favorite, it's foot feathering is coming in nicely and wish I had a few more like this.

I am in love with the feathering on this chicks feet. It is the best out of all the chicks I hatched out. I believe this one is a boy but it will still be staying here. I just wanted to share some of my babies.

I'm in love! :love Look at this face!
