Ugh! I tracked down the actual Hatchery my feed store Chickens came from and sent pictures of my 2 oldest mystery chickens along with a chick picture from them day I brought them home...and either they have no clue what breed they are or I've totally been put on the back burner! I believe we will be ordering our chicks next year..and we will be doing a LOT of research before choosing!

Me Me Me, Wolf Lake is awaaay up north.

If anyone wants to drive a little without heading north, the Lucasville OH swap is this weekend. It's about a 3 hour drive from Greensburg; Wolf Lake takes me about 4 hours or a bit more. I was at the Lucasville show last weekend and restrained myself very well

--only bought what I planned to--2 transport cages and a collapsible coop for my white cochin pair.

Guys, the wolf lake swap, does anyone ever see peafowl? We found out my DHs friend no longer has a hen. Planning to try to go! I also want to add more Pekin, they are just so sweet! Brad, the babies are ADORABLE!!!!!

have what im pretty sure are 2 pekin babies for $5 each but cant be positive they are pekins

Well, after looking at my calendar I realized it's next weekend, not this weekend. So, I was going to go to the Wolf Lake swap, but I guess I'll be going next weekend now. Bums...

There is one outside Silver Lake this Saturday.

Baby silkies have hatched. Not as great of a hatch for local eggs, but still happy. 15 made it to lockdown, 9 hatched. I would have been more happy with those numbers if they were all silkies, but instead got 2 Mille fleur d'uccle/ OEGB (i believe she said the roo is a blue wheaten?) mixes. I'm interested to see how they turn out though.
