INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Ooo mutts make the best. I bet some of them will be really pretty. Ha! If you had crossed a top hat and an EE they would look like little fluffy teddy bear heads. Oh the colors you will get. Do you have any frizzles? I had a red one growing up, she was the sweetest little thing.

I do have a frizzle rooster. And i know i saw my polish mate with EE's. So hopefully they turn out.

I may have to travel north if you have a frizzle! My little brother and his wife are going to have their first baby in feb. I'll make a trip up and make rounds. Definitely post pics when they hatch!

Lovely birds! The Appenzeller is a very attractive coloring.

They do look like wyandottes! my GLW roo, Red:

My miss Spike as a pullet last spring.

Or maybe, spike is a sexlink... Her comb is different than the other 3, Its not the rose comb. More like a barred rocks comb.

I love the Appenzellers. The appearance is so striking and they have a lovely disposition. I have 2 roos, 2 hens, and a pullet. Last year the hens were really prolific and the guys were doing their job well; had lots of chicks and no trouble selling them at shows. Hope that they do as well this year.

Are they laying yet cluckacres? That rooster is the neatest with that fluff off his head and his tail. How long are his tail feathers? Can't tell from the pic. It would be so cool to have one of those pheonix roosters with the LOOOONG tail feathers. I would keep him off the mud for sure though.

Yes they are suppose to be laying. The longest 2 tail feathers on the rooster are prolly around 1 ft long
