The only thing is that Idont have a thermostat. I have gotten it set at just the right temp with a small blanket on top, and the house temp stays at a certain temp. Yes, I have a plant in the corner... thinking maybe it can help with o2 exchange. These pics don't have the eggs in it yet. I'll have to take another pic. The whole thing is lined on the inside with styrofoam and covered with shelf liner. 40 watt bulb, pc fan, quart jar for heat regulator. Cost me...... $4.25!!!

I have all the stuff to make one still, using an old cooler. think i want to make a hatch brooder at least for all the extras i am collecting.. I could put my lock downs in it. I have to set myself in a routine of setting eggs once a week. I am really pleased with the little giants so far. Once you get the temp regulated they hold true. and i have a drafty house.

looks very nice. The only thing i am worried about is the shelf liner. I tried that once and it started to melt and left marks. It might be ok if the eggs are not sitting on it. I tried it with eggs on it and the shelf liner left the marks all over my eggs one time so i took it out.

I thought about a brooder also jchny, hoping there is enough room in this one. I have metal mesh to keep them away from the light and fan area. I also have a 1 ft x 1 ft mirror at the back so Ican see all angles as they hatch without opening it.

Well this little chick must be a soccer player. Its going all over the incubator kicking the eggs and jumping on them. LOL I wish i had a webcam i could set up on them so you all can see them hatch. Think i will have to get one here soon. lol

Cluckacres~ Ihave a picture frame I covered in the metal mesh and left it about 2 inches long on the bottom so it created a shelf over the liner. Might beable to see it in the first pic, with the shadow.

That Ustream sounds pretty easy to set up. I have an extra laptop, it has a built in webcam thing. If i can do it i will set it up to stream too! cwaf on here runs one pretty regular.
