INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hello this is the first time posting on the site. I am from Huntington IN. and have had chickens I think 4 years now. I have 2 rhode island reds, 2 barred plymouth rock, 2 black sex link, 1 rooster not sure what he is. Also just got 6 new easter eggers. Also have 2 female ducks 1 pekin, 1 khaki campbell, and my males are a mallard, 1 with bad hair, and a black/green one. Love getting all the info on here, been a member since I started the chicken fever.

Animallover... the turner Iam making will roll them instead of just tilt them from side to side. If you have a large plastic tote with lid, you can use that... that's what Iam using, you just line the inside with styrofoam or bubblewrap might work. It's all trial and error with the first one.

Welcome!

Hi all. I've been around but not much on the board busy with so many things but I am glad to see there is a new active group. Does anyone live in NW Indiana in Calumet Township that has chickens, just curious.....
Hope you are all enjoying our lovely NOT spring weather. I know my chickens are more then ready for this cold stuff to go away (me too as I'm tired of carrying buckets of water....)
Hi Rose--glad to "see" you here! I thought maybe you had gone into hibernation. Hope all is going well with the Appenzellers. Mine are just starting to lay, but the pen is so muddy right now that I haven't tried to collect them because they're so dirty. I hope to get a different pen ready for them in the next couple of days.
