I just went out to check on my 6 week-olds that are in my brooder in the coop because it is soooo cold and windy (they have 2 heat lamps running) and one of the barred rock cockerals was trying to crow! LOL...soooo cute but 6 weeks is WAY too young for that nonsense

Its really dragging out this year! We were already out on Brookville lake fishing last year at this time. I have 5 week old orp's that really need to go outdoors, but I am so afraid to chance it yet. They are still just so little, and the big coop isn't insulated (10x12).
AL, I have 3 roosters here now, the boys have crowing contests! I love the little silkie crow, he tries so hard

Looks like a balloon when he puffs up, then he flaps crows and deflates

I'm from Indiana too, Bloomington area.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd pop in. Haven't been keeping up with BYC too much lately, just a quick peek every once in a while.
Welcome to the Indiana Thread chseeads! I looked at your website, and you live pretty close to my husband's brother Jack Haddan and my husband's cousin Candy (she has chickens) lives down the road. Knob Creek near Heltonville. My husband and I graduated from IU, but unfortunately moved back to Evansville. Your ranch looks like fun!

Does anyone know who lost the lav orp in Campvilesville, In? I found a post for some in Ky on craigslist. I don't know if these are theirs but I thought I would post it and they might know. [email protected] This is the reply address for them. Check it out for louisville craigslist.
I just took a screen shot of your message and emailed it to the people so they could check it out. Thanks for the info!! Everyone-- don't forget to keep your eyes and ears open when you look on your area's craigslist and if you go to shows or auctions, etc. Thanks!
