INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I have a question. My first chick hatched and it is solid white. None of my adult silkies are white, Colombian but not white. I have blue, black, buff, and partridge, does anyone know how I came up with white? Here is a picture right after it hatched.

Jchny: Thanks for the goat info. We will keep our eyes open for a milker

AATH: Your set-up looks fine..... even a roosting bar! Only 2 chicks.. I guess establishing which is alpha (pecking order thing)

Welcome Pink! Nice coop if that is it in your avatar. How about getting some chicks at Tractor Supply? The only downside is that the one around here mostly has leghorns and sexlink chicks. Not ideal cold weather birds but great layers!

I think I better get my run built first, I really don't want to raise chics, it's been so cold here my husband isn't in a hurry to go outside and build it...grrr...I'm ready to get started.

PinkE- I got some of my chickens off Craigslist. So if you want larger you can check for any on there near you.

momma- how many are you hatching? They are so cute!
