INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I took the chicks outside yesterday. Although not ideal temperatures, figured a bit of sunshine would be wonderful, first feel of grass on the feet. They spent their whole time huddled together and not doing anything... Pfft.

20 mins later, packed them up and brought them back inside... Big weenies!

Although did give me enough time to clean out my bathroom (where they are currently staying). The amount of dust that comes from the fluff they loose is amazing.
My first chickens took over my guest bathtub until they were several months old (moral to that one is do not get chickens heading into the cold weather, have to stay inside longer). DH said not this time. He he making a spot in the mini barn to put them in until they are outside ready.

To make everyone chuckle...

Friday home from work, grabbed my iPad, decided to check the thread while cooking dinner and making a cup of tea. Well... Two over stewed teas later and burned garlic bread means no more thread reading while in the kitchen!!!

Apparently multi-tasking is not my forte

I was going to take all our birds and put them outside for awhile, but we gone most of the day. Went to tsc to pick up some more seeds and meal-worms and was looking at the chicks. The cornish x rock are 99 cents each. They have quite a few left and it took every ounce of mental strength I have to not buy more

Anyhoo I hear ya. You can't leave this forum alone, it's almost like facebook. Leave for a day and come back to 600 posts(maybe not many, but you get the idea).

Actually, if you head south on Post Rd from Brookville, there is a farm on the east side of the street (Just south of Troy Ave). They sell it there, might be seasonal. We have stopped there before for bales.

They have a small sign on the side of the road, normally letting you know what they have. Picking it up is the enterance off Troy Ave.

Check there.
