If it smells off, I wouldn't use it either. They may have had something in feed that reacted badly. or somehow a bad bacteria killed the good ones. If its fed it down too far, (my kids...For those of you that do FF~ my hens FF has white thready stuff on top and smells SUPER sour. I didn't feed it to them this morning.... what happened to it? What did I do wrong? The babies FF seems fine.

Ok, layena, about a half a cup of acv, and I have been leaving the "liquid" in the bucket and just adding water and feed as needed.
When can you go home?
I'm curious about fermenting as well...what is the reason for fermenting and how is it done?
