Thanks
I used blue lotion on mine. You can buy it at RK for about $6. It is an antiseptic and it makes the wounds blue so the other chickens don't peck at it. It stays blue for about a week, but if you want to have the antiseptic properties every day, it needs reapplied.
You're welcome! I never realized how devoted the breed truly is. Yesterday I had to give her a shower, and most dogs have to be drug into it, but when I pointed she went right in. She didn't like it, so as soon as she was washed I sent her out. When she realized that I wasn't getting out too, she started whining. I opened the door to see what she wanted, and she hopped back in! I never have had a dog do that! I know what you mean, I don't really think any dog would react any differently from being hit. When I train I use treats and a spray bottle. Its worked well on her so far, I am hoping I can have her around my other dogs eventually....but probably not. She's still a good dog. I don't suppose from your experience that you know of a good collar for her? She has very wrinkly jowls and her current collar (not one that I've bought) has rubbed the fur off. I can't think of another collar that wouldn't do that.
