INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I can download to my computer but I don't have internet on it. I no its weird. The only net service I get in my area is dial up. But I don't even have a house phone. Or a tv for that matter. I guess I'm kind of a cave man? Lol
I don;t think that is a bad thing.

The over usage and the inhability to do anything these day without technology is scary.

Do you get email on your phone? could you mail yourself the picture and upload it from there?

Haha, ask a teenager... thats funny...

I will ask mine... the response will be... 'Duh Mom.. you don't know how to download to a phone'

What aggravates me is when I have to ask again after some time has passed and I forgot. Fortunately, grandchildren are more patient with grandparents than are children with parents.

Do any of you order chicks from hatcheries? And if so can you recommend a good 1? Iv been looking at a couple and iv been reading alot of not so good reviews. I don't like the idea of having babies shipped through the mail but iv run out of options and have to do something. Promised my 6 year old Antwerp quail chickens and have failed miserably at finding any locally or even semi locally. Lol any help to get me out of the dog house would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you look at the BST listings here? Most people will ship, even live birds. Might pull something from that. If not Craigslist... Could always post a wanted add.

I know there is a thread/s on here for hatcheries... go the main page and type in either hatchery, hatcheries or which ever named hatchery you are looking for, might find some reviews there.

OK, Alley Oop, just go to McDonalds and use their Wi-Fi network. It's free. Give a teenager $10 to help you set it up.

Have a chicken filet while you're there.

I've ordered through Meyer Hatchery this year and last year, and I love them. That being said, we always make it a road trip to drive over and pick them up so that the chicks don't go through the mail, so I can't tell you how well they fare through the postal system. The Meyer Hatchery chicken pictures thread has had quite a few people receive healthy chicks with few or no DOA. I'm not sure if they have Antwerps, but they have a pretty good variety of breeds, and I've been told my birds from them are of surprisingly good quality for hatchery birds.

Y'know I have started hitting that 'forget' stage... Sure that will work out in my kids favour in the future.

"Didn't I give you $20 yesterday"
"No, you said you would but you didn't"
"oh, ok son I am sorry, here is $20"

iv tried posting a iso add on craigs and nothing :( I'm still learning this site and haven't seen any hatcheries but will most certainly look. And thank you for the tips.
