I remember before having chickens, thinking that people who discussed the weather were very very boring.   Now I am checking the weather predictions at least twice a day.  I have turned into one of those boring weather people.

its funny you ask that today. I was just asked by a coworker today and honestly couldnt tell him. So after counting I have a total of 105 birds including all the chicks.

Oh yes my dh would kill me! I think I might be able to hatch out one more clutch this spring for chicks. I want more turkeys, so far he's not budging in that one. Maybe I can slip a turkey egg or 3-4 under a broody chicken. Think he'd buy it?

I'd love it.. My hens are going t hatch eggs in March! ROFLMBO, I think that's about when my order from that breeder will be in isn't it Brad? Lol

Btw- I saw large rolls of heavy duty vinyl at Walmart today. It would make a great wind block on the chicken doors.

So the eggs that looked "black" hatched? I'm so frustrated...seriously! I have 12 eggs in the incubator. There are only two that "look black" but I've not seen ANY movement. I'm taking all of the eggs but those two out tonight and hoping they make it to lockdown. I'm not going t touch them again and pray they make it! Lockdown is 1wk from tomorrow. Crossing my fingers!
