Husband and I are looking for a couple of Speckled Sussex...a roo and a couple of hens. None of our local feed stores are getting any this year :-\ We live in Lawrence County...anyone have S. Sussex near you?

I might have some chicks later. I only have a pair, and need to get them separated, but should have some chicks in about 2 months or less

One other question..have been skimming through old posts I've missed...is OldSalt (pretty sure that was his name) still here? He always gave me a chuckle...he seems to be the only one I can't find of the original people who were here when I signed on...

GOT A PROBLEM!!!! went outside to feed critters and a hen came out of nowhere!!!! no not one of mine. the closest place that I know of that has chickens checked to see if it was hers... no.. she sent me to another place, no.... got sent to 2 more places ( didn't know so many in my area had chickens ) the last place was missing 3 hens. Told her about the 1 hen at my place and what had happened to my chickens. and told her as soon as I found her I took her to the garage. Well she don't want to take the chance and wont come get her. NOW WHAT DO I DO????????

If you want to pay to take her to the vet, so they can tell you she is infected, that would be the ideal option. But if not the safest option would be to cull her incase she became infected.
