INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Nope! My girls have decided to take their dear sweet time! We've been raising RIR and BPR for 11 months and just started getting eggs February 25th from them! On the upside, they have been perfect, beautiful brown eggs! Definitely worth the wait. The EEs are a not younger.

Ah, Nice. :) I just got half a dozen 'Ameracauna' chicks from TSC so I can't wait to go home to night and get pics. Their soo adorable. Atleast all of them have fluffy faces with two I couldn't quite tell and all had the chipmunk pattern but one was atleast the biggest and was darker. So happy my spring plans are rolling now! I've got a bator and brooder and now chicks!! Content now. :)

Caught up! We've had a busy week! Last Sunday I spent all morning fixing the pop door on the coop, I keep forgetting to get pics though :( Its been needing to be done for a while but a cyote wandering our property in the middle of the morning prompted DH to give me time to go do it!
I also picked up these cute things from Sally this week!

And got to meet Jchny2000 when I picked up a bator from her yesterday! SO excited to try my hand at some hatching!

.They are Orschelns "Ameruacanas/Araucanas". The original hatchery is Estes.

You guys both have easter eggers. The farm stores label them wrong.

Flock Master-614, you can't show EEs (they are not a breed and are technically mutts) sorry. But they are great to have around.

EmSteele-occcassionally you get a rumpless EE, but it isn't very common. I have had a few. Araucanas are rumpless, but they have to be more than just rumpless to be an araucana-there are other traits they need to follow. It is likely just a rumpless EE, especially if you got it from a hatchery

We cleaned out the duck brooder last night. That was a mess and moving it up out of the basement made the smell worse. But at least it is out of the house for now. As soon as warmer weather hits, the ducks are first out of the basement. So stinky.
