INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Quote: Congrats! I really like building and remodeling, so for me that would be fun! But I like the chick idea better anyways

Well, I may not have splurged at the farm stores, but I did just buy another pair of lemon splash modern games!

Nervous having adult birds shipped, but can't wait to get them!

Oh my, they are gorgeous! I woulda jumped at the chance for them too!

Ohh congrats and good luck! (On both the eggs and the bath!) I have eggs from DMRippy that were shipped out today! I had ordered BR eggs from her last year but had fertility issues. She out of the blue sent me a pm and said they are laying fertile eggs again and re shipped! Great seller!

Thanks! We're taking on quite the venture here! Never done tile work or plumbing but we're doing it..ripped out walls tub shower and flooring. .tiling floor and building a 8'x4' walk in tiled shower! Eeeek! So far so good! I do have an amazing Man! I'll post pics of the finished product. ..might be 3 months from now But..lol...

As for DMRippy she seems like she is a great business lady. Congrats to you! Let us know how the hatch goes. Mine are shipping out 3/17. I'm new to shipped eggs tho so I'll have to do my research. I know I've read about air cell displacement candling to check on that and resting time. Anyone got anything to add to that?

I've tiled and have done basic plumbing. I like doing both. If you have any questions (more so on plumbing) feel free to ask. I've worked in hardware and home improvement retailers for the past 12 years. I currently work at lowes (in cabinets) but started in plumbing. So I have the basics of plumbing.

I forgot to mention my Brinsea Brooder came today!!! They love it. I'm wondering if it is low enough for them though. I set it on the highest level for the ducks, so they didn't over heat. Any suggestions? I would prefer to not use my heat lamp anymore.

Does it need to be lower?

Thank you for the offer! I'm not too ashamed to ask...he refuses! Lol! He does good with this stuff though. .works on many houses mainly custom wood work but he watches and learns then comes home and does! Times like these having breaks between jobs he gets bored not doing so he jumps into home improvement projects. I think we have a lovely home but he's always complaining about the crappy job the builder did..not caulking in places that should have been. .layout. .etc.. Drives him nuts. He's very much a perfectionist, well..when it comes to stuff like that..Now laundry Not so much! Hahaha!

Sitting here thinking about how I could have someone come in and "farm sit".. wow.
Goats, cow, pig, turkey, chicken, guinea, peafowl, quail, duck, geese etc!
Inside I just have 2 oscars, a huge pleco, a dinosaur fish and a featherfin cat.
(2 tanks, 75gal Oscars and a 55gal for the others. Oscars would eat the other guys!)
And a pug mix Sadie, lol!
It would be expensive! Its at least 2 hours just to feed and water.
Not even counting loving on them, free range time. Cleaning coops, egg collecting.
I hope I am never faced with that, It would be impossible to find someone.
My geese would not tolerate a stranger either, let alone my bucks.
During breeding season, I even have to watch out for the ganders! They get really stupid crazy brave

Here is my first goose egg, compared to a pekin egg, (jumbo sized) OEGB and quail egg...
They will get bigger as the season progresses!
They aren't fertile yet, DH gets a nice batch of scrambled egg tomorrow!
Its actually about 3 1/2" inches.

Great pics of course! I've never used an ecoglow so can't help with the questions.
I've got silkie eggs, who wants 'em?
The last thing I need is more eggs lol. But for anyone interested her eggs do very well and produce beautiful chicks!
