She is very quiet. I'm concerned. I might grind up some batteries in the food processor later if she doesn't perk up.![]()
I'm not a expert but I'm pretty sure your food processor won't approve of that idea.

We got 5" of snow overnight... So needless t say Blinky and Waddles(new name for Armelia according to my 2 yr old granddaughter) won't be out today and neither will Diamond nor Earl! Poor babies would have t build a tunnel! Lol
But y'all are always saying they need "electric lights."I'm not a expert but I'm pretty sure your food processor won't approve of that idea.
You know, I DID realize my coop has room for four more birds, after I miscalc'd the sq ft originally...![]()
He would kill me, though. As much I want one of those pretty babies (or two or however many...) I better wait and make sure we don't royally screw up this whole chicken thing.
I do wonder how big their frizzle Orpingtons get. Did you catch whether they were LF or bantam?
Don't know if anyone has answered you yet (still have like 2 pages to catch up on) but they are LF
Goatluver, I think we are. We live in Floyd. Georgetown.leslea - what county do you live in? I think I live pretty close to you.
Okay, good to know. The rest of ours will be bantams.

I'm curious how you can tell who laid what. Other than based on color and size. Like, if you have two of each breed.Well, I have already confessed to being a spreadsheet junkie. I've just made an EggSpreadsheet 1.0. It has a list of each of my chickens, the dates, the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly totals as well as notes on each of them. It can easily be updated for anyone's chickens if you want a copy. I'm sure eventually I will make it prettier too.
I am as close to Lanesville as you can get and still be in Floyd. So not far at all. We looked at property in Elizabeth.I live in laconia about 20-25 minutes away from Corydon. So not very far away. You live in the next county over!
