INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

HI all,

I've been lurking for a while on this IN thread. I'm in Rocky Ripple (in Indy) and have a small backyard flock I'm working on growing. My current flock consists of various colored brahmas and a Crested Cream Legbar. If the eggs I have currently incubating hatch, I'll be adding a couple Rhodebards and Olandsk dwarfs. Obviously, I have yet to figure out which breeds I prefer. I'm still int he wild experimentation phase.....

Right now I'm seeking Midget White Turkey hatching eggs or poults and perhaps a couple guinea keets. So, if anyone knows of someone with those on offer here in Indiana, I'd love to hear! I only need a few of each.

I got some chick pics:

This one really likes its picture taken

This the start of the block foundation. About 30 mins into the project, I couldn't get it squared. and I got tired of the 20 degree wind blowing in my face so I called it for the day lol. I'll work a little more tomorrow.

Just checking in!
I've been trying to keep up with all the posts, but have been really ill the last few days. Some sort of stomach virus or whatever they consider it. Ive only been able to eat broth with a bit of egg, hot tea, and water.
I've been reading about everything, but haven't been able to bring myself to comment, until now.

I need to get out to my yard. I have a second round of teenagers to put into the grow out coop and I believe the first set is ready to go into the big coop. I have a Birchen Maran roo I'd like to rehome, but I'll need to take photos another day. He is not SQ, lots of gold. I have only barely managed to get out everyday to feed, so hopefully I can get photos up tomorrow.
My ducks are outside and seem to be very happy, but after seeing Kab's ducklings, I'm REALLY doubting mine are Runners.
@kabhyper1 sorry about your loss :( and the last one totally looks like a runner.
@SallyinIndiana congrats on the birth of your girl!

...and I can't recall who(sick brain!) I'm so sad to hear about Einstein. What a bummer. She had the best story.

Oh! and my neighbors behind me? Their teenagers like to have parties during the warmer months. Yesterday they had a bunch of friends over and to my chagrin, someone was cockadoodle-dooing my Roos into a frenzy. Ugh... Well I guess I can take solace in knowing the Roos don't bother them!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I'm also sad to hear that the ducks were not the runners we ordered. When you get feeling better, and up to taking pictures, I'll see if I can get the hatchery to identify the breed of duck. If nothing else perhaps I can get a refund to give you for the duckling price.
