INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Quick question about incubating. After starting to hatch we have at least 15 chicks that have hatched so far out of 34. There are several that have pipped but have not hatched yet. My question is should I take some of the chicks that are dry out to make room for remaining eggs to hatch. If so how do I do this without harming the unhatched eggs.
The incubator is a farm innovators pro series and is supposed to hold 4 dozen eggs. Thank you for any advice

That's one of the million $ questions! Lol. If you do open it, have a spray bottle with warm water handy so you can mist inside incubator once you finish removing the chicks. Work as fast as possible.

Once I open it, I watch more closely to make sure none are getting stuck. If it is a still incubator, I wouldn't worry as much of them drying out and getting stuck.

Happy Mother's Day!! I wanted to give a quick update on my incubation project!!!! Day 7 has come and gone and we are fast approaching day 14. Of all the eggs I set, only 3 were clear! I am excited as all of the EE's and AM's are developing! Then I have 2 BCC (only one was clear), 1 SF (2 of those were clear) and then all of the blue marans!!!! I bought another Little Giant (TSC was having a huge sale and it was $5 off) and hooked up a fan that I bought from incubator warehouse and temps/humidity has been doing great with this hatch! I am so excited for day 21 to get here and it can not get here soon enough. It has been really fun showing my DBF and our daughter the magic of developing little baby chicks. My sister an I are even in an "unofficial" incubating and hatching competition. She is winning because I have had the worst luck with incubating. We are now both incubating chicken eggs. any hoooo....hope all the mother's on the thread are enjoying their day!!!!!
Wishing you the best on the hatch!

Thank you for the reply. It has a fan. My concern is that it is becoming overcrowded in there, I'm sure it probably isn't just seems to be. I don't want any of the newly hatched chicks to get trampled by the other ones that are running around in there like football players. If there isn't a problem with that many chicks in there I'm not going to open it up and risk causing problems.
