INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

This is a bad pic, sorry, my ducklings in the foreground (Waddles, Blinky, Darcy and Ditto)
And Diamond and Earl in the background. You may be able t see a few others (possibly) if you are seeing this on your computer. The pics so small on my IPhone I couldn't tell. I've added some Spring flowers around the coop and some wetland grasses around the make shift duck pond, painted some things and spruced things up a bit. Hoping we have a few days to dry out a bit so I can get more done. I'm not so steady on my feet right now and my balance is bad enough without adding mud to the mix!
Brad, this is Diamonds fourth egg! She hadn't missed a day since her first one came and Earl is being sure to show Rudy who she belongs to!!!

Well the birds I'm getting from chickenhill are in the mail. Here goes the anxiety.

She said that one bird she sent me was exceptional and would be the foundation of my blrw line! So excited!

Ok, SallyinIndiana, can you remind me (I'm bad with this...lol) how old are the "ducklings I got from you when I made the trip back in ???March? Or was it February? Lol told you I'm bad about that, hehehe. I keep half expecting to open their box in the morning and be bombarded by a dozen eggs. They are such sweet babies! My Grandchildren gifted me with two more Khaki Cambells about 6 wks ago so the flock of ducks is more than complete...lol my husband just noticed Saturday that there are four ducks waddling around the yard, he's so observant! At what age do ducks start laying?
They grow so fast don't they. All of mine look as big as our adult ducks. The weight is not quite there but soon I'll be getting lots of duck eggs. I'm 75% sure your ducklings were hatched 2/12. I can't find the exact receipt right now. The ducks were hard to get in this winter with the cold weather. I'm very certain that your ducks were not in the 1/29 hatch group. I'm thinking your trip was before the last group of 2/26. But you thinking your trip was in March is causing me to think maybe a 25% chance of the 2/26 hatch date.
My Khaki ducklings from last year started to lay at 21 and 23 weeks. But they were late summer hatches so they might have been delayed layers. Most of the web has khakis laying at 20 weeks.

Great news / Not what I planned on news.

I now have 3 broody hens. That is the good news. The not great news is that one of the broody hens is my BLRW. I really wanted to hatch more of her eggs. Still I like the idea of the hen raising the chicks so I think I will let her sit.
I have shipped eggs arriving tomorrow. I'm thinking of giving them to her but I have heard that broody hens are not the best with shipped eggs. I still need to move her but I want to make sure she is broody before attempting it. I have moved the 2 broody Sumatra's they were sharing a nest so they are still sharing a nest. It is a good thing too as the newer mother to be was not fond of the new nest. Thankfully the other Sumatra stole her eggs for tonight.

Also now that I have 3 broody hens, with 2 of them needing a few more fertile eggs, my HRIR are slowing down on their laying as they near the start of their molting. I might end up with more than a few mutts being raised by my broodies.

Also is anyone interested in some EE roosters? I'm fine with them going to chicken freezer camp but I really don't have the space to grow them out. They are not nice to each other like my heritage RIR roosters.
