Fart eggs--who came up with that name?--anyway, they are funny and cute when they are brown ones. They look really strange when they are blue cream legbar eggs. Don't you think?
Glad she doesn't lay a deeper shade of blue or I'd think it was a robin's egg.

Would anyone on here be interested in giving a little chocolate colored Chihuaha a forever home? His name is Winston. He is very sweet, but very timid. He is one of my best friends dogs and she has a baby boy. Winston is afraid of her son and nipped him. As long as I have known WInston he has never nipped, so it was just one of those things. He is a really sweet dog. I would say he is 5 or 6. He was a rescue that I think had been abused. he is very shy. We just want to make sure he goes to a nice permanent home. My friend is heartbroken over this. I told her I would ask you all. I couldnt find a really good picture but here a couple. He is the dark brown pup.

Where is Winston located? Is he good with Cats or other animals?
I'll keep him in mind if I hear anybody looking for a sweet boy.

I'm not an expert, but I'm going to say "human". The feathering looks Caucasian, but it's early to tell.


I have no idea about the chicken.

Gregor's preliminary necropsy findings are inconclusive thus far. There were no tumors that would immediately lead to a Marek's diagnosis, which is good. She did say that nerves on both sides were a bit large, so she couldn't rule it out until the labs came back mid-next week but since nerves on both sides matched in size it could just be the way he was and not a clinical sign of anything. There were some signs of coccidosis, but she said not enough for her to think it was a major issue. Now comes the hard part and the part I am HORRIBLE at, the waiting!!!!! Uggggggg!!!!!

Oh, and I went out to get eggs today and had a tiny BRIGHT blue pullet egg!!! Woohoo!!! One of my babies from Racin started laying!!!!!! It is an absolutely gorgeous color and helps offset my Gregor depression

atrub00 and Leslea ~ Nice job! I'm guessing that @lilmizscareall has too much going on to deal with the Tshirts. That's quite understandable with kids and owning your own business! Originally, Janet and I discussed having designs submitted to a T-shirt volunteer person who would post them without the artists' names so that the official Indiana BYC Tshirt can be voted on. All designs can used for printing on whatever style of shirt that each individual wants.

I am sorry. Didn't know that and wouldn't have responded to Barb's post with the idea if I had known. My bad.

Had a chicken sunbathing at lunch today, very beautiful but cold out. The chicken sunbathing is the one who has chicks. She just started laying eggs again this week-was so happy to have her laying again.



Here she is with the two chicks. They are 6 weeks old now and I think one is a rooster and one is a hen. Last night I had all the adults out and the chicks in their coop. Chance (the one I think is a cockerel) flew out of the coop and joined the adults. To my surprise, no one picked on him so I let Lucky (the one I think is a pullet) out with them too. They were able to be with the adults for about half an hour supervised and then I put them back into their coop and shut the door.
