I'm still planning on attending. Hopefully there will be others there also.

Quote: I haven't seen any curled tails but the drake would be young at most 18 - 20 weeks. The necks all look about the same for each kind of duck. We have khaki, blue sweeds, and black sweeds. Right now 4-5 are laying, with two of them being about a year old and the others about 18-20 weeks old. I'm even having trouble telling the older khakis from the younger ones.

Yikes! I'm grimmacing just reading about your Ro. How terrible!
Just guessing here--no research has happened on my part--I wonder if the white rubberish stuff is the eyeball and the clear liquid behind it is aqueous/vitreous humor? If that's the case, maybe it would be best to leave all of it in there.?.?.?.? It's been many years since I dissected a cow's eyeball in biology, but none of that sounds very good.
Sending positive thoughts your way.

I got a call from a man in Greencastle looking for chicks. Any one have chicks 5 days old or less they want to part with?
Quote:
he does not care, just wants to break a broody. I felt bad asking him to drive all the way to me for my 3 chicks.
If it comes down to it and you have to get rid of those two I might be able to take them for you. I would be close by so you could come visit them (I live by Michigan Rd and 32).
thank you you for your offer I'll definitely keep you in mind once i make my decision. i just got back from speaking at my city council meeting to ask them to increase our hen limit. I'm glad i went as before it started one council member was asking the others if they had heard about increasing the limit on hens and i'm hoping my speech shows it is an issue that a lot of its residents want changed. i am really hoping they will change it.
