INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Here's a great WWII poster we came across as my daughter was researching for her Illustrated talk for fair.

I love these old posters! Would be neat to decorate the inside of a shed/coop with them. Thanks for sharing them!

Tshirts Arrived!!

The Tshirts look really cool! I am posting a photo because they were silkscreened, which altered the look of my Photoshop artwork. Silkscreen printing is done one color at a time. Digital printing costs twice as much or more, the ink application is lighter, so the shirts have to be light colored.

These Tshirts are made to last, both with ink application and Tshirt quality. They're eye-catching and unique-- my neighbors love them, and they don't have chickens!

If anyone does not like this version, you can cancel your order. This is not meant to be any type of negative comment because the shirts are great, but the printing process is not like the example posted for ordering.

These look great! Can't wait to get mine!! :)

Had a great time Saturday at Chickenfest. Met lots of wonderful people. Took a few pictures.

The cookies in the last picture were almost to pretty to eat I said almost. Mother2Hens did a wonderful job with the decorations. I also want to thank Mother2Hens and CRSelvey for the great door prizes. Again amazing job. Jchny2000 did a fantastic job getting the facility and making everyone feel welcome. Want to also thank jchny2000 and her DH for coming to our rescue Sunday morning when the pop-up camper we borrowed didn't want to pop back down. And to Minminme who didn't leave me stranded all alone at the park while my BF went to borrow some tools from jchny2000 and her DH.
Thank you for posting pics of Chickenfest! Sounds like everyone had such a great time! If suggested dates for 2015 could be posted before June next year, then I can make sure our family reunion isn't on that weekend. So wish I could have made it!!

Got some silkie eggs from bradselig and had them hatch in time for our family reunion! I named them all after people from Beatles songs. My cousin also gave me a guinea and a MF in case anyone is wondering why Vera and Rita don't look like silkies. LOL Love these little fluff balls.

Hi Everyone! We returned last night from Chickenfest including two nights in Indy staying with friends and visiting our oldest DD. I am exhausted!

I put together these photos from Chickenfest. Hope everyone can read the captions. BYC has photo size limits.
I thought I had taken more photos, and I especially hated not having a photo of CrazedChick!

I will check in later-- I want to go outside with my flock. I missed them so much just being gone for a weekend. It's a little weird, but I'm sure you understand.

There has been a thread started for Chickenfest 2015. Looking for time of year, sites to hold it at, or any suggestions that any one has. Hoping to make it possible for more people to attend.

I really hope the rezone gets changed. So many cities will be looking at what Indy does. The last thing I need is for my city to put a limit on animals. After all there are times including hatching season that the number of chicks just drastically increases. Most times it decreases quickly too as people like to buy the cute fuzzy chicks. But for breeding purposes a decent amount need to be grown out so the best can be kept and the rest rehomed or moved to the freezer. I'm thinking it is the same for all the animals, kids need some time to wean. piglets get sold around 6-8 weeks I think. Although I'm not sure the rezoning mentioned pigs or sheep.
