COLOR FREAK
When I was young, I guess from birth to maybe around 8 years old, I had a form of synesthesia where I always pictured words in different colors. I remember thinking of it as the color relating to the meaning of the word. I was an adult when I happened to be watching a science program on TV and that topic came up. I was shocked! I had thought that it was just something weird about me (to add to the long list). I remember that as a child, when I mentioned it to a friend by saying something like, "Oh that's blue" or "That's a green word," I'd get funny looks or "What?!" I began realizing that it wasn't normal, so I quit saying anything since kids just want to fit in and be normal. I learned to ignore it and hadn't thought about it in years when I saw that TV program. By that time, I had earned a Fine Art degree from IU, had additional training in color theory and design, and had a business with a partner named Color Design Studio. I love color! Shapes, too. Anyway, it was interesting to piece the puzzle together.
Okay, everyone can wake up now!

ICE! Get in a comfortable sitting position. Put an ice pack on your lower back for ten minutes. Repeat once an hour. IMO, whenever I've had a backache, shoulder ache, etc., ice really works. A few months ago, I had shoulder pain from digging in the yard too much. At nighttime, I used a generic Icy Hot stick-on patch (5% menthol), which worked wonders. Actually, I think that it took my mind away from thinking about the pain to thinking about how weird the icy hot patch feels!
Hope you're on the mend soon!!
And finally, a topic relating to chickens!
Bonbon has been sitting on an empty nest all day, and after dark, I put her in the big coop. I'm not sure if she is counting these days as part of her 19 days of sitting on eggs. I haven't seen a calendar posted in the little coop. I guess that's a good sign. But, I'm wondering about if I get some hatching eggs, will she sit on them long enough? I really just want a few bantam eggs since I have a full house (chicken math), and I'd like them to be a breed I might want to keep (chicken hoarder).
@SallyinIndiana Thanks for your offer, but I am being picky, especially if I have to travel to buy eggs.
@ellymayRans Are your frizzle Cochin eggs bantam?
