INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I'm not looking for chicks right now, hopefully started pullets. However I would love to hear more on your idea of a Tilapia pond, and if they could be raised in a large pool.

I THINK THAT EE'S ALL LOOK GRIM. GRIM, I TELL YOU. You can always tell you're looking at an EE by the grim look. @kabhyper1 This is the girl what was completely bare backed last summer and fall. This photo shows her after the molt and re-growth. She's completely bald-backed again all this summer and I just noticed she's getting her pins now. All my girls are molting so she must be too. Charlie's Sister (I call my ee's "Charlie-Birds"...and yes, there is a story behind that.) Charlie
Shes cute. :) I hopemy wyandotte gets her feathers back. She hasnt started molting. I took her apron off when Iseparated her but she was cold this morning so I put it back on her. Im really afraid she is going to freeze. Is there a way to force them into molt? I hate to do it, but it may be necessary.

Your chicken reminds me of Nigel, the cockatoo on the movie Rio.

Yes, I have 2 EEs with the muffs & beards. Each has a similar look, but a completely diff personality. My pretty golden one is sarcastically named Einstein due to her lack of intelligence. Sweet personality, likes to follow me around, but very dumb. Easily gets lost in our yard & has no problem solving ability. My fearless black & white EE (named Tyrion) was thought to be a roo because of her confident attitude. Smallest of the batch but pecked the nose of our 100lb dog because it was there. Always runs toward people (even strangers) and once chased a hawk away. Curiosity will be her demise.
Wynne, the bird in that picture I posted, is a total air-head, too. I don't know how she pulls out such an evil look, because her more serious sister, Mako, just looks floofy-poofy. I have 7 Easter-eggers at the moment, all with beards. :D

Yeah, most of my Easter-eggers are pretty mean looking from certain angles! I think the 9-year-old, Cub, is the only one of my girls in a constant state of grumpyface, though.

Need some help! Who can recall the name of the chicken with giant, ugly legs that look like it has elephantitis?
Oh, gosh, Ga Noi or something like that..? Found it on Google, Ga Ho. :sick

Hey, that is it. The fort time I saw them I thought something was wrong with them

Ohh come on! They are so unusual! I gotta have them! I don't think they have been imported yet. But once they have, watch out! I'm also looking for standard moderns and possibly Ko Shamos. Then I should be finished lol

Last year I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know if the feathers would ever come back and my girls all molted late last year. It was DECEMBER when they finally started. And it was way too cold to be running around undressed. But they all did okay.

Last year I didn't have an apron on her but this year I've kept one on all summer. I was mainly concerned about sunburn and also drawing attention of the others to continue plucking as I did see some of that going on earlier.

If I think of it, I'll get out there and take a photo of what she looks like before they grow in. She is VERY HARD to catch in the daytime. She'll hang around but doesn't want to be captured. I have to grab her at night and i can't get a good photo from afar because the apron is covering it unless it's flipped up.
