Over the past year, we've noticed quite a few wine bottles with chickens or roosters on the labels. Just for a fun thing to do, we've been on a quest to find all the different kinds of spirits with any kind of poultry on the labels. There are quite a few ducks/geese labels, so we focused on Chickens.

We acquired many over the course of time, emptied them

, and DW removed the labels. Finally, we had enough for inspiration to hit. DW arranged them in the bottom of a weathered barnwood tray, then put protective plastic over it.

It turned out too pretty to keep as a serving tray, so we hung it on the wall...It looks great!
Now, I'm trying to convince her that we should collect more bottles and she could make a companion tray!

Ellymayrans, Sounds like wry neck. Selenium, vit E, and poly vi sol with out iron. I dont have exact dosages but there are good threads on here that have them. If you caught it early she should recover quickly. Good luck!

Thanks kab. I had to go into the office but she's in a little "hotel" in my dining room. I have and gave the poly w/out iron even a few drop directly. Now the sel. and vitamin E where can I get those?

I have never even looked/shopped for birds/eggs on ebay..best I don't! Hahaha

I got mine at walgreens. If you can find the vit E with selenium included that would be easier.

Had to get on to post today--my little call duck, Trudi, finally laid her first egg overnight! And, no surprise with how active those two are, it was fertile!

So duck people, since I'm a total novice when it comes down to it. Do ducks need oyster shell as well? I ask because Trudi's egg was soft and one of them had stepped on it and punctured it by the time I got down to them. I wasn't sure if this was a normal first egg type of 'hiccup' or an indication that she needs more calcium. As much research as I did before bringing these two home, I don't remember anything about using oyster shell with ducks, so...
