Ohh and FINALY got my first egg from either the brahmas, blrws, or mottled orp! They are all May or June 2014 hatched birds and just now started to lay!

I'd love to swap some chicks/eggs with you at some point. Mine turned out to be 3 pullets and 2 cockerels. I will keep the nicest of the two cockerels and sell the other. Of course I have to see how they mature as well and
hope they turn out nice.

For sure. I'm going to build them a nice breeder coop and run.

Just candle all 42 eggs! I have one very questionable LF egg and two out of five silkie eggs are iffy. But the rest look to be growing Nicely!

Give the silkies a few more days. I've had them not show veining for longer than usual.
