Got my sugar maples from @chickcrazed planted several days ago and they have started leafing out already. So pretty. I planted some down one side of our drive.

Momma and her babes (silkies and Cochins)
I am certain I have a pair with the Millie Fluer Cochins. They were hatch mates and one is soo much bigger than the other with much more prominent comb.

They've been out for a week now on our front porch in a small animal cage. I've been pretreating with corid just to be safe before letting them on the ground. The silkies I always think are boys at this age!! Drives me crazy to not know! They are cuties though!

I used our lawn sweeper to clean up grass clippings today. I thought to myself I bet the 5 1/2week old CornX would like a snack. So I threw in a handful of clippings. About half went straight to it and started pecking and eating it. So I filled a five gallon bucket up with clippings and dumped it right in the middle of the tractor. I figured what the hay they will eat it and it gives them something else to scratch around in.
Here is a pick earlier today of the older ones and younger (2 weeks today) CornX.

Oh gosh yes! We do nothing to our grass but mow, no chemicals etc. I haul gobs into all the coops for deep litter. Use the loader on the tractor and scoop it up. Of course the goats really love it, as well as the hogs.
