INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hey guys, it has been a busy Summer and I haven't been on here much. this spring i got a little crazy and ordered a few extra chicks. You all know how that goes. LOL Anyway here are some polish about 6 months old that I have from McMurray Hatchery. I am more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of these birds. As it happens I need to re-home them as my Orps are just too rough and tumble for them. Anyone wanting a ready made flock at a super low price, 3 hens and a roo, drop me a PM. They have had their Merricks vaccine. :)

We have a few chicken pictures and other poultry-related things we use for decoration around the shed and in the kitchen. I found an electronic picture that I'd like to learn more about. Does anybody recognize this image, and can tell me something about it? For example what the title is or who the artist may be?

About 3-4 years ago, DW bought some hazelnut bushes (tiny twigs actually, with bare roots) from the Arbor Day Foundation. Our yard is mostly shade, so we didn't hold out hope that they'd make it.
Look what we found on it this week:

How cute! Beyond a little snack, I have no idea what I'll do with only 2 hazelnuts, but that's two more than I ever thought I'd get!

what kind of wire is your hoop coop made out of?

but that's not organic like they are talking about. I buy that 12 stuff when I'm in a pinch.  Didn't mean for that to sound like that sorry. I only mean that DH works at a feed store and so we get their layer, but if I run out on the weekend and they cant wait, I will go to RK. But dont tell them that... lol

It's 2x4 welded wire 6'x100' and I just cut it to size. I've added hardware cloth to the sides of some as I have them further from the house. Attached nest boxes to some also. Just with zip ties so they are easy for me to remove. They are the plastic nest boxes from Rural King.

Yes I priced their Organic feed. Their layer feed varies from crumbles or pellets and I think it's $12.95. They have Gamebird breeder feed, Turkey feed etc. Non of those are more than $14.95. Their feed is 18% and higher also.

Very cute! I'm like that with my blueberry bushes. Hopefully, next year will be the one!

Anybody in central IN know if TSC or RK carry the Tylan 50 (powdered kind to go in water)?

I just noticed some puffy swollen cheeks on one of my turkeys. After some quick research on here, looks like it may be "mycoplasma" (sp?) and that was recommended to treat. I'd rather not go the syringe route but will if the water soluble stuff doesnt work.
I have bought it at TSC before. Having that same issue with my BBB turkeys! You will fine it more in the cattle/goat area in the medications.

They are so pretty, I really enjoyed mine. Same problem here, my flock is just too hard on smaller breeds.

I don't but I really like the picture!

We have a few trees here, and they do a little better every year.

Hey guys, my good friend @jsummers is looking for a LaMancha doe. Age is unimportant as well as papers, but her old girl recently passed and now she does not have a milking doe. She would like to find one thats not "too old" to breed and freshen however. Any help or recommendations appreciated. If you have some info, please pm me, she doesn't get time online often.
