INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I have some Silkie chicks for sale I'm fixing to put on CL. after I post on the thread. Let me know if you re interested.

These are buff Roo over splash hen chicks. have 3 that look to be buff and 3 that look to be splash. Broody hatched Aug 18- 21st.
I got a few of their siblings and they were/are such sweeties! The one we have left is just a dollbaby. No fault with teh chicks; i's just that some sort of predator has developed a love of silkie chicks in our neighborhood.

Okaaaayyy..... I need more details on Mr. Mystery Man, Jimmy Two-Toes here. First thought was Spitzhauben, but it looks like he has feathered feet (and possibly an extra toe?). I'm leaning on mix right now. Might be a mix of Polish, Spitzhauben, silver spangled Hamburg and/or Sultan. Sultans aren't bred in mottled, spangled or silver-laced to my knowledge, but they are frequently housed with Houdans, Polish, Silkies and other mild-mannered ornamental breeds. Is Jimmy LF or bantam? How old is he, and what kind of comb type does he have?

lol ok ok but I live on a rd used for covered brigde and set up booths every year... so I will be here selling sorry.

I didn't have any problems last winter but i made sure to frequently change their bedding throughout the winter so moisture didn't build up to cause any trouble.
Noted, Thank You. No deep litter , got it.

ok well that was easy enough.. lol lets see if anyone wants these guys, pet quality Silkie Roo's. trying to get better stock is the reason I am selling, they are great Roo's real good to the hens and chicks and the chicks aren't even their's.

PM if interested. Thanks.

I get these guys gone and my silkies will be set for winter. got almost all the LF boys and girls together except the EE's and they have a house on the way... only ones left are waddles and the juvenile's. Waddles house is built just needs the front on and roofing so I can get rid of the tarp... lol I am getting excited knowing it will be done before the cold sets in. I usually get caught with my pants down so to speck.

O byw I have a new bird in the Iso pen, I am thinking she is a bantam cochin, after she gets released she should be fine to put with the Silkies they are about the same size?

Does anyone know for sure what she is?

Hatched him myself from a donated light brown egg that I was originally told the people only had marans. When the eggs arrived there were blue eggs in there. So I was like, the blue ones aren't marans eggs. Found out they had some ameraucanas as well. When he hatched I called the people and were like what other chickens do you have? They said only marans and ameraucanas. I love the little guy but it's driving me crazy not knowing what he is.
