How much would a green house frame normally cost? I've seen them on the road everytime I go to town but I feel like that's a high price just for the frame..
Also would it act as a barn or coop how many could you fit in that it's so big

I have a bender that will bend chain link fence top rails . I built a 10 x 14 coop / greenhouse with it. I will try to find a Youtube link and post it.

Fort Wayne Rural King had a few barred rock chicks and a few australorps. Had signs on tubs for ISA Browns and RIR, but nothing in them yet.

FYI...here's a recipe for a frostbite ointment that also contains some items that help with pain relief, inflammation, etc....if you have the time to make it!

The coconut oil is a lot simpler if you don't have time.

Homemade Frostbite Ointment

This all-natural ointment can be used to prevent and treat frostbite.

Ingredients
2 ounces beeswax
3/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon liquid vitamin E (helps repair damaged skin)
10 drops calendula essential oil (anti-inflamatory, aids in healing wounds)
10 drops lavender essential oil (relaxant, pain reliever, antibacterial, anti-fungal)
10 drops lemon essential oil (antibacterial, antiviral)

To Make
Grate beeswax and melt with coconut oil over low heat in a glass mason jar set in a saucepan of boiling water, stirring with a wooden chopstick. Remove from heat and stir in the Vitamin E and essential oils until well mixed. Leave in the mason jar or pour into a covered container and cool. Store in a cool, dry place and use as needed.​

Stupid question time:

I see a lot of people use poop boards, and while that helps the bedding, it doesn't really seem to make less work.

In coop 2.0, i'm looking at using a ladder style roost bar system that will be hinged against one of the walls, so it can be swung up, for cleaning the coop. Is there a good reason that you couldn't put a backer board of a vinyl paneling on the bottom of the ladder roost that will catch the poop, but not "hold" it, and then attach, or have at the bottom of that board a section of gutter or something similar to act as a collector?

It would be easy enough to then remove the collection unit and add to a compost heap or other location?

Sorry for the simple minded question, just don't know why it wouldn't work.

Not stupid, very good post! I am sure it will help a lot. Healthy poops are usually globs that roll to be frank. It will need a little scraping, but certainly last longer than any painted wood.

Had a nice evening with good friends, was able to go out for dinner since we had an "unexpected" parent sitter tonight. One of my nephews was able to visit grandparents and planned to stay a few hours. Haven't been away from the house aside from Dr appts in 2 weeks, ugh.
Every bird survived the deep chill last night without issues, what a relief. So ready for spring, longer days and less layers of clothes! Mostly less worry about fresh water, babies being born in the winter and every animal safe and healthy.
