INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

HELLO everyone!!!
It's been a long time since I've been on here and I'm sure most of the people I met before have moved on but I'm back and have moved to Mooresville, IN and can now have chickens without shame!!! I don't know what I'm looking for other than at least 2 Blue Cochins either LF or Banty...maybe a couple Delawares or some Dominiques...I know I am not going to worry right now...I still have Taffy my little Millie D'Uccle...she will remain a house chicken until I can get her some friends. I will still be looking at hatcheries as I know they are NPIP and health is my most important need. plus I can mix and match and try out several different breeds from the same location. I am so happy to be back!!!

So glad you're back! I'm not too far from you!
I have bantam Cochin but no blues sorry.

Exactly! I know of 2 big hatcheries, Cackle and Meyer, that now sell their Easter-eggers as Easter-eggers, and I would assume they haven't lost any sales for it. Actually, it would be interesting to find out what their sales have been like since they changed those names in their catalogs... I might have to find that out for my own curiosity.

Heehee, yes, come to the Dork side... You simply cannot resist the sweetness... :D I've had limited experience with the roosters, but the only one I had was a sweetie, so it probably would be tough to butcher them... Speaking of, if anyone is interested in a Dorking rooster, I am getting straight run Dorking chicks in a couple weeks...
That is so adorable! :love My girls look at stuff like that, and then give me dirty looks like I was supposed to be giving them something edible.
I don't know how I missed this post before, but :drool :love Gorgeous birds! I wonder how well the Mille Fleur pattern would do with silkied feathering... :D

Thank you!

ISO: large feather or two for a flapper headdress- if you are in the Indy area. Hubbie and DD have a daddy daughter dinner dance Sat. night and we have the dress, but we definitely need the headdress! I was thinking maybe peacock ( @ellymayRans will you be in town this week?) or some other big feather, turkey is not quite right, too bad got plenty of those!

And a teaser: I will be posting some personal adds for three handsome young bantam gentlemen this week. Seriously, 4 out of are 5 of my fall hatch are cockerels and one home already fell through!

Hubbie has the camera so can't get them off the camera yet!

Will someone please bring back Spring?

So I just gave away my freshly hatched ducklings 1 mallard, 1 khaki Campbell, 2 pekins. I had one mallard left because she was twisting her head under her like she was in the egg still. But now she is all good and needs a home. I don't have any more ducklings to keep her company. And yes she is a female mallard. I vent sexed her, so I know for sure she is a female. Anyone live near Gary, Indiana zip 46406?

Yes I'll be in Indy Monday and Wednesday.
I have plenty of peacock feathers and probably a few guinea feathers. How many would you need do you think?
