INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

So, I am kind of addicted to starting new projects but never really finishing them. One of them is my mini fridge incubator that I call the Stealthbator. It's up and running, but it needs some tweaking and I haven't figured out a cost saving way to put turners in it. So I'd kind of like to start over and make a different, bigger DIY cabinet bator. To that end, I casually browsed Craigslist last night, and got super excited about the possibilities of this:

They want $50 for it!!

Alas, after tossing and turning all night, I woke up and realized that I just CAN NOT start something new right now. I think it could work real well, though, so I wanted to post it here in case anybody else from the area would be interested in trying it. It's located in Beech Grove. The ad's been up for 2 days. I'm not sure how quickly something like this will sell, but $50 is a great price, I think.

I'm interested in having a go at quail. Anyone have any available or hatching eggs?
Prefer Coturnix or Jumbo. Anyone with experience please share experience if you think I'd prefer something different. Wanted for the table.

Just what I have been looking for! I would like to be part of this group. My name is Jeanne and I am co-owner of Cedar Road Farm. I live in Bourbon and have been here for 2-years now. I own 50-hens and 12 roosters and have 7-Pekin ducks and currently looking to add at least 6-more Pekin hens. I am also looking for a location in Northern In for Non-GMO feed and recipes to make my own feed if anyone would like to share. Thanks for letting me be part of this group!

@CedarRoadFarm Welcome! I drive 1&1/2 hours to Honeyville Feed in Topeka, IN to purchase organic whole grains, and organic alfalfa meal. The wheat is Montana Wheat at E&S Foods in Shipshewana, and although not certified organic, is chemical free and non-gmo.

I don't have a scientific recipe, such as percentage of protein, etc., but how I mix it works well, and everyone is healthy. I use my recipe for all growing stages of chickens, ducks, and the chicks get sunflower seeds added to their food. I can give you a recipe if you're interested.

ETA: Honeyville Feed phone number: 260-593-9943. I'll post my feed recipe later.

Looking forward to pics of your flocks and your projects.
