Yes! I get some from the local bait shop. They give them to us in a brown paper bag. I shake that and dump out the live crickets. They love them! Also, when I give them their treat. I shake a container and call them in a sweet voice. They learn to trust you. I have taught mine to go into their secure run using treats.

Baby goats wean in 3 weeks and looks like all have homes. May have one doeling not spoken for, depends on moving plans for the family. Pixie and Dixie my Jersey cows are getting huge, excited and nervous for our first calves birthed here. I have 2 vets arranged in case of emergency calls for calving issues. Pixie, 21 months old has noticeable udders now and really gaining weight. Dixie is larger and 2 weeks older but I see Pixie will be calving 1st..
My next EE/OE chicks are a week away, and will be the last of my Am's eggs. Will set eggs in May to see what Beefy sires for us.

What breed goats do you have? I've forgotten, lol.

Had to put my bantam Cochin down today. She has a bad prolapsed vent & really bad sour crop. I tried some home remedies but her condition did not improve. This morning she was just lying there, I thought she had passed on her own. But when I got closer she lifted her head. I didn’t want her to suffer anymore so I decided to cull her. Another thing that helps, I sit next to the brooder and just lay my hand in there. Especially with ducklings but works great on chicks too. They start walking on your hand and learn to trust it.

Its a dairy breed, Oberhasli. They became my favorite pretty quickly. Full of spirit, super friendly and normally no health issues.

I've ordered enough paste wormer to do my cows also. With my 2 Jersey girls expecting I am not taking any chances. Already seeing a big improvement in my other does appetites.

Its a dairy breed, Oberhasli. They became my favorite pretty quickly. Full of spirit, super friendly and normally no health issues.

We're considering Nigerian's next year. Haven't decided yet because it would mean downsizing my flock.

@Nyla - here's a today picture DH sent me. Their caruncles aren't even turning orange to suggest thye're laying somewhere hidden.
