INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Not a good photo but at least an example. They have had a rooster so a scruffy on the backs.

Organic fed and outdoor range in a partially grassy & partially wooded area.

A Mommy and a Daddy possum decided to have babies in our trash can on our front porch. They have about 6-8 babies. When it rains, the garbage can fills with water but slowly leaks out. What do you all think I should do? Should I leave them be? Or force them to move? The babies look to be about 1 week old

BTW they are more than a week old I'm sure because the opossum is the only native marsupial in North America meaning they are about the size of a snail when born and crawl to a pouch on the mama and are raised their until they can crawl out and start to live on their own, like a Joey and a kangaroo.

They need GONE!
Possum will kill chicken and eat eggs. Trust me been there done that.

Here there's an opossum that lives under one of the chicken sheds. I named him Smelly because he had gotten sprayed by a skunk one night.

I had to teach Smelly that he's not allowed to sleep in the barn with everyone (chickens, and muscovies) at night and he has to go out.

My cats are still learning that Smelly is not another kitty, and not to teach him kitty games.
