INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Is this you, Janet? Birdie, here — I’ve dumped Facebook and am trying to reconnect with bird friends via BYC. Trying to get the hang of things on this site — it’s been a long while since I have been active here.
:frow Hi. Welcome back. I actually live in IL but visit my IN chicken friends here. Yes, BYC changed a lot in the past 2 years.

I still use CL, but thankfully, most of my sales are via referrals now and it's just for fun.... not a business.

Hi Charlemagne Roost! I still use Craigslist. For a while I was using FB too, before they started cracking down on any type of animal sales. But I don’t care for the general format of FB, so I stopped bothering with it.
I never tried FB marketplace, but I know a few people who sell there. They advertise mini alarm clock or something along those lines and also see photos for description.

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing fine. I have been busy helping husband building a new Silkie coop. I have a silkie sitting on some eggs. she is a first time broody and so far so good. I also have some turkey eggs in the incubator so that's exciting.... On another note, two days ago during day light a mink got in the chicken backyard and tried to attacked them. My daughter yelled when she saw it and my dog ran and chased it but the mink got away. One of my duck had a little blood but nothing to be concerned. My question is.. I thought Minks hunt at night. Has this happened to you? I have set a trap but nothing yet.

I had a friend who lost the majority of her flock to a mink attack that occurred during the day - while she was away running errands. I hope you catch the little culprit soon!

Where are you located? For some reason I’m thinking Indy or Fishers. Man, I hope there aren’t minks in this part of the state! 😬

Indianapolis near International airport. So far I have seen coyotes, hawks, possums and now minks. I have a creek in my property and I heard Minks lives near water so yay for me.

Long time, no see, everybody! :frow

We're finally getting into a house! :yesss: Looking to close toward the end of April. Moving into Bedford, IN. Will be in a little old house on a postage stamp yard and will immediately have to put up a fence because we've still got our pet cow, Ursa (j/k she's a Rottweiler that weighs more than I do).

Getting fowl again isn't a No. 1 priority... but I ain't gonna say I ain't daydreaming about it ;)😊

Hello,

Does anyone sell gosling? I was wanting to add a protector to my flock. I don't mind any breed that is not too loud . I live in SouthWest of Indy, willing to drive.

Thanks
