My husband and I will be joining the fun! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
I'll bring something in regards to food... probably an appetizer or dessert.

I'll have some started Black Copper Marans pullets and cockerals available. They are from Greenfire Farms.

I'll also have a few select purebred Lionhead rabbits from our show lines that did well at Nationals this year.

Can't wait!!

Did I see on one of the many posts that someone has Royal Palm turkeys? One of the ladies coming with me is wanting some.

Thanks oh great chickenstock mistress. lol There are so many posts and so little time for me to reread all of them. If I can stay awake long enough this evening I will try and find it. But I been up since 2:30 this morning and don't know how long I will last before I crash. lol

Oh you poor thing! I actually slept in this morning. Get some rest and I will look again. You may also want to look at the main page, there is a post number next to everyone's name, that will direct you to what they are bringing or what they are wanting. Hope that helps! If I find them, I will PM you the page

Their are more variation's of the Mille Fleur color than just the the normal color you are thinking of. The difference is in the chicks...you can see it plane as day.

Mille Fleur is the color, d'uccles is the breed. There are many different color of d'uccles.

ETA: A list of d'uccles colors taken from the Belgian d'Uccle and Booted Bantam website at http://www.belgianduccle.org/

"This is how the d'Uccles were entered into the APA Standard of Perfection by year:

1914 Mille Fleur

1981 White

1965 Porcelain

1996 Black

1996 Golden Neck

1996 Self Blue

1996 Mottled

The American Bantam Association recognized these varieties above and also Blue, Buff, and Gray as early as 1985.

Other varieties that have been showing up in the show rooms are: Quail, Brown Red, Butterscotch, Blue Mille Fleur, Buff Columbian, Columbian, Red, Blue Red, Blue Red Mottled, Blue Mottled, and Silver Mille. Also Rose Comb d'Uccles have starting to show up in the show rooms in Mille Fleur and Mottled varieties so far, this is a new breed all its own and no standard has been submitted to date."

So there are black d'uccles, and mille fleur d'uccles, but no black mille fleur. Hope this helps

Pictured here we have "black" Mille Fleur D'uccle chick's with their mother

Here again you can see when they are grown that they are quite a bit darker...basicly "more black" all over the entire body.

Now here is a picture of some of your standard Mille Fleur baby chick's i hatched July 1st.....they are 10 days old in the picture.

And fully grown here they are in "butterscotch" and the parent's of my babies i hatched.

I also have traded e-mail's back and forth with the president of the Belgian Booted Bantam club acknowledging that their are more than one color variation of the "mile fleur" standard. I can post the e-mails if need be
