This is the first time since the chickenstock that I've had a chance to get online. We got home around 11:30pm that night and Sunday morning we got up for church and got to see the girls in their VBS performance, then I was off to work. I worked all day Sunday, all day today, and I'm finally off tomorrow, and I get to actually enjoy my new birds. I'm looking forward to it. I had a wonderful time Saturday and all my kids could talk about was Miss_Jayne the whole ride home. She really made a big impression on them and they liked her a lot. And Shultz, they LOVED your pool, in case you hadn't noticed, lol. I expected them to fall asleep right away in the car once we left but they were chatterboxes for over an hour, which was a big surprise. They were making plans for next years chickenstock as we drove home, they loved it! I am so glad that I had a chance to meet so many wonderful people, and let me say, I'm glad I went with no money in hand, cause if I had, I'd have come home with WAY more chickens than would actually fit in my car! I've already made a mental note, for next year's meet up, I'm bringing chairs. Cause I want to sit and enjoy myself! And next year I'll make sure you take a breather too Shultz! I know you didn't sit either! The goodies you sent us home with were very much appreciated, and I had the pulled pork last night for dinner. Yum....! Would you possibly share the recipe? It was soooooooo good! I'm off to bed in a few. I'm exhausted still from the driving on Saturday and all the working I've been doing. I'll try to check in tomorrow though! Night everyone!

I believe the MIA chicken was a young EE roo, so he has a pea comb. I hate those things, they are so hard to sex!! (pea combs)

addiedunn, Thanks for the info on the peppers. Now I think I will go on line to get me one of those pepper cookers. I can't wait to give it a try. I hope they come out as well as your hubbys.

chicken_china_mom...tell the girls they are just too sweet! i will post the recipes for double chocolate zucchini bread and mock apple pie on my website later today so everyone can use them. they are, dare i say it, sinfully good.

might as well stick two bricks to our butts because that's how good they are!

thank you so much Rob and Kathleen Shultz for holding this fun event. My Mom and Dad had so much fun meeting everyone, face painting, eating good food, and whacking pinatas.

I'm still smiling from the great vibrations of Saturday! Have already been on Shelley's thread about the KY Chickenstock that's in the planning stage.

What a wonderful idea to donate the leftovers! Along with the Cancer Society donations, that made us a service project as well as a party--cool!
