Hi addiedunn, I like it here on the Southside Indy area with my birds. Nuttin special, just your typical backyard flock stuck in a corner of my yard.
Nice to see there will be a large turn out. With all you BYCers, should be quite a time. Alot of outta control chicken talk. Should be an education. I've been told to do my homework, so I will be there taken notes. LOLOLOL:lol:

I would love to come! July 25 is out for me, and we would not come on a Sunday, but a Saturday would be great! I am in western Ohio. I would be looking for Silkies, Royal Palm turkeys, and guineas. I could bring a dessert and drink.

Of course you can come! I really don't have much to trade, either but I'm excited about seeing what everyone brings. Bring that BBQ sauce and I'll bring mine. I make some killer as well, so maybe we'll need to add bbq sauce contest to the activities!
I think a saturday as well. Since Rob and Kathleen are offering anyone to stay in tents, that might be a better day to start things. Now we just need a date.

Great job everyone, this thread is showing real postive feedback!!! I will start editing the main page to say who is doing what. And I will reply to the posts as needed. This really dounds like it is going to be a lot of fun! I will try to come up with a few dates this afternoon so that everyone has time to plan.

addiedunn stuffed jalapenos sound great, I will put you down for that!

CoopCrazy BBQ Sauce and Potato Salad would be great, shouls I put you down for that? Don't worry about having anything to trade, everyone is welcome, who know you may end up taking something home

Larry, I did find a really great home for Elvis, thanks! He went to a 4-H kid who really loves him, I also gave him a hen to keep him company. He won a crowing contest recently.

babymakes5 it will definately be on a Saturday so if you want to come, we would love to have you! Let me know if you want me to put you down for a dessert and a drink.

sueg6255, Buffalo sounds so good, my mom is very interested in that as well as me!!

My mom is making Coleslaw and Pulled Pork for us!!!!

Plans are also in the works for a 50/50. Half will go to BYC and the other half will go to the American Cancer Society. Anyone interested in donating would be appreciated.

This is going to be so fun if I can come... I wont be avalable July 23-27 :\\ Those are the days for the poultry showing at the Marion County Fair. Gah!

How does Saturday, August 1st, 2009 sound?

I will post it on the first page as a tentative date. I would like to be able to serve the main menu food by 2pm or 3 pm, drinks and snacks will be available all day. If you are bringing swap or donation items, I would like you to be here as early as possible so that we can get those setup for everone to see.
I will be announcing raffle prizes on the first page soon, make sure to check back! Our wonderful Nifty-Chicken has graciously offered some reall cool stuff and once I have all the details, I will let you all know!
Anyone wishing to camp will have access to our restrooms and kitchen! Make sure you PM me so I know how many to expect or if you have questions.
As a safety and bio-security measure, all animals must be in cages! Dogs that you wish to swap are welcome but please make sure someone is interested first. All animals will have a shaded area and access to water, make sure to bring food and waterers for your pets.
Depending on the number of people attending, I may need help with organization, feel free to PM me if you would like to volunteer and thanks!!
I think that's all for now but check back to make sure you are up to date!
