Yep I made it back in one piece,

no black eyes, or bloody noses.

Thanks. Everything went pretty smooth, Im still in shock.

I was a bit "P"d at the auctioneer for not advertiseing the sale in the paper,

cause we lost out butts on the auction, we should have had a better turn out and made alot more money on some of the stuff, but its all over and done with and we are all still talking to eachother, thats what counts.

I ended up buying 2 truck loads of stuff, I dont need or it or have room for it, but I just couldnt part with it all, it really hurt sitting there watching everything you knew growing up go to strangers.

I have never seen my parents house clean and empty before in my life, that was a shock in its self. It took 4 of us from 8 am til about 8pm monday thur friday to empty the house, there was that much stuff in the house. Mother was a pack rat, she kept everything and mean everything.

We found stuff I never seen before in that house. We found stuff they brought with them when they moved in that house back in 68. I got most if not all of the family heirlooms, none of the other kids really wanted that "old" stuff, so I made sure I got all I could.

Some of it was my great grand parents stuff. Im thrilled I got.

Ive been trying to catch up emails and get back in the grove of things on the farm. I brought my kid back with me for a month or so. Im trying to fit the 2 loads from the auction in the house and get my kids room made up.

Well I need to get going. Not used to having a kid around, cant be on the computer as much as I used to be.

Thanks for all of the good wishes, kind words and thoughts, they all meant alot to me going thru this..............

I hate raccoons!!!!!!!

Think I need to borrow Miss_Jayne's coal shovel. Have lost about a chicken a day for the last week. Trapped two, but one climbed the front of the coop last night, tore loose the wire at the top, and snatched my JB breeder hen from inside a dog crate--nothing left but feathers. I don't know how it got her through the sides of the dog crate without leaving any body parts. And I don't get home from work until about 8:30 this evening and will need to repair the coop. Whine, whine, whine.
