Aww glad you made it home safe Whitney. It was such a treat to meet you yesterday. Your dogs are beauties. Wish your stay could have been longer but Chickenstock is around the corner! Glad your chickens are safe and sound. Well, I'm off to try and plant some more and clean out the coop...again!

Well from 7am-1pm I helped fill in nail holes at my sisters first and brand new house that she is having build. No AC or nothing.IT WAS HOT! LOL She has some interesting and unusual neighbors.. Deer was across the lake, bunnies in the backyard AND I heard something in the sewer pipes.. I couldn't believe my eyes...a skunk!LOL

AC ?!?!? OMG what is AC ?!?!?!?!? my dang heat pump has been broken for about 3 months now and the fans aren't really cutting it quite like they used to LOL In theory my uncle is coming down at the end of this week and while I dread having people in the house (even if it isn't mine . . . and is still technically an estate that needs settled) maybe he will see that living in East TN with no AC isn't really that much fun . . . .

I have got to get the house cleaned, chicks moved out of the brooder and into the run, shavings down in the run mud, garden weeded. . . . oooh the list goes on, kinda depressing really LOL


I am super excited about chicken stock tho !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOT !!!!

hrm . . . . .better get to bed now tho . . . . think we have a staff meeting at work tomorrow . . . . although we get paid for the meeting and free lunch

Carole, I wish I had been inside yesterday. I was finally able to get some weeding done and plant some things in the garden (took 6 hours) Then got in the pool and cleaned it. By that time Rob was home so I grilled some BBQ chicken. Then one of our friends came over and we all chatted til dark (outside) Today...more gardening, maybe tomorrow will be a good BYC day

Will anybody have any turkey poults OR adults to sell or trade? I am looking for Royal Palm especially, but would consider any of the heritage breeds. I have had no luck at all with hatching turkeys.

I was wondering that too. I had a pair, then my hen went missing the other night. I found feathers the next morning, but no body.

She must have started nesting in the field.
Now I have a lonely tom.

Well, my money was set aside for a wedding on the 7th in Chicago, but the wedding has been postponed due to lack of funds on the part of the couple, so now I think I can come down for the meet up. However, I am not sure if my car will make it, so I was wondering if there is anyone in my area that I could maybe ride down with? I'll share the cost of gas. It would be myself and my two little girls ages 9 & 10, cause they will NOT let me go and have fun without them, lol.

I am not terribly far from Attica and Williamsport. Is anyone in my area going down?

I picked some up from Quail Antwerp when we went to PA. Only 2 developed, but they both died at the end.

I am done trying to hatch turkeys in the incubator, I think.
