I have a chicken calender on my wall that a fellow chicken-aholic got me for Christmas....the July picture is of a frizzled cochin in mottled

Guess what I accidently ended up with? A BUFF COLUMBIAN!!! She was supposed to be a mille fleur (d'uccles), at least that's what she looked like as a chick. But she's not, she's a buff columbian cochin! Looks like I have a project on my hands! Mille fleur cochins, here I come!!

I have 2 white bantam Cochins-one pullet, one roo. I also have one black Orp, and one blue Orp that I hatched from Miss Prissy. I have 2 EEs, and I have one of Miss Jayne's RIRs. I am not sure if I can give that one up! I would sell any of them or trade them for RP turkey poults or B/B/S silkies.

Well im at the tail end of my hatch....total now is 7 MFD babies and 1 Buff O. All thriving and doing well!!!!

One big brooder family. 5 mfd's i hatched and 3 "special" ones i got today as well

The special ones were a "were sorry for giveing you less than sub par silkies" free order and shipment from my local hatchery. They came the same day "Today" that the MFD'S were born!!

Just hatched my 6th!! Mfd in this shot.

Same little guy...just trying to help "Big O" My Buff O. egg that's zipping. Behind him, i have my 7th!! MFD pipping!!

On a side note I now have 2 quail eggs !!! I am leaving them in with the quail atm to see if she wants to hatch them or not, granted I know nothing of quail brooding, etc so I need to do research there !
