Indoor duck cage help

So, your not ready for them to go out? I'm in a pretty rural area too in fact We have those same predators. We got our ducklings out at 7 weeks. If I had everything around and the temps were cooperating they would have been out at 4 weeks.
Where are your pekins?

Yea we’re almost ready it’s tricky he got turkeys too a couple months ago were trying to figure out a house for both and decided to work off of the shed adding a run. The two of them are in a extra large duck cage in our entry room. They’re white layer ducks. I used to have pekins but then two were killed by a fisher at our old house free ranging. I am just confused because we got our other two in January so we didn’t put them out until may ish and they never made a mess in cage I cleaned it like once a week. Same water feeder and all do I’m confused why they’re making such a watery mess

Yes but my prior pekins weren’t bad like this lol I cleaned their cage like once a week same situation. Two ducks same size same cage and water feeder lol I didn’t expect this

My Husbands favourite sayings is what came first the Chicken or the egg?..He always says the Coop. Applies for all Birds though.......Men..

I think they are just having fun it’s what ducks do lol. I think in the long run they need something to do maybe you can take them out some during the day so they wear themselves out then maybe they won’t want to spend so much time playing in the water container. Just like kids being bored can mean getting into trouble.
