Indy area Chicken work Co-Op

If you have pictures of your goat area, I would love to see them. Then I can try and come up with a way to make some similar out of one of the crates mentioned above.
Will try to get some. The penned area is small since I keep only my 2 girls in it now. Maybe 20x20. Once we get Buddy neutered he will live with my Bo full time, and with the girls also between kidding season. We are expanding the pasture before winter, and adding an additional shelter. Have to find my camera, my den is a disaster and I have a month of filing to do

At least your filing sounds like it is all in one spot. Mine is somewhat scattered around the house ~ my desk, the spare desk, a dresser in a back room. Little stacks here and there. Some of it sits long enough that I end up disposing of it before it ever gets put away.
Would you want a small paper shredder?

Is anyone available to help my DH cut and build a small shed it would be evenings or Sunday before 5pm. It would depend mainly on when anyone is available to help and when DH could pick up the supplies. We have some stuff but not everything.

Editing to add that I can pay you with a younger chickens or chicks.

I have some availability. It depends on what I have going on that week. This week is not very free, we have lots of family in town and my Dad is having surgery.

I'm too far away to help evenings but could help one weekend hopefully. The next two weekends are bad (our BYC event and then a family obligation the next weekend) but after that I should be available.

Quote: I hope your Dad's surgery goes well. I'm also hoping for a you tube racing video if you are still racing this Friday.
I'm looking at getting one goat kid next Friday th 25th and then another in a few weeks when Sugar has a kid or two. I'm thinking this 7*8 shed is going to be consuming all of Dh's evenings until it is done. We are going to chicken fest and we will be making a feed trip to RK before then so really pushing for Dh to get done on time. I have a back up plan but Dh does not know all of the details. I'm sure he would not instantly fall in love with the backup plan. But that is why it is the backup plan after all.

If you don't need it, thanks!
I have an older one, but Its limping badly LOL! I run a few sheets, let it cool down. It takes a lot, like 23 sheets but it at least 10 years old.

Hehehe! I had my newborn goats in the bathtub when we realized Shadow wasn't able to nurse them, was doing all I could to keep them warm and dry.

Is this for your goats?? I just typed in dog house in craiglist and found this goat house- it is from 2 weeks ago, and re-posted 2 days ago. I don't know if it is available still but the listing is still up: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/grd/4548966857.html

So this is the second night that it is dark when I have remembered I am supposed to take pictures of the crates for you. And yesterday I was out there taking pictures of the chickens and did not remember!! My brain is just not working this week.

Unfortunately I am no good at building anything and hubbie has a long recovery from a severe hamstring pull ahead of him (he's an amputee which makes it even more complicated) so we can't be much help.
Hope your DH recovers well, sounds very painful and he certainly has an added challenge!

This weekend I probably cant, we will have to be back saturday eve after chickenfest for mom. Weekdays are impossible, but am thinking the following weekend we may be able to help? Just let us know what works out.

I'll bring the shredder to chicken fest. It is small but might be a good way to alternate when one overheats the other could be used.

@flyladyrocks I saw that one. I'm not quite in love with the A frame. But the red color is eye catching. I have looked at it several times. I'm guessing the materials would be close to $100 to make it but I'm hoping to spend less than $500 and have a shed I can use even if I end up selling the goats. My first chicken coop was also a shed shape, for the same reason.
