My hen (about 4 years old - bantam) cut her comb about 1.5 weeks ago... Just when I thought it was starting to get better it got much worse about 4 days ago. I've been cleaning it with diluted betadine and putting furazone on it (only ointment I have) I'm going to get triple antibiotic ointment today.
Her head is HUGE and I finally figured how how it happened - from the NPIP band so I've cut it off !
She's been getting tetracycline (duramycin-10) per the instructions but I don't think she's getting enough of it.
...
What more can I do ? ! ... or what can I do better?
