Infected Comb?!?

hmm... well she doesn't appear to have any other injury :/ she doesn't have lice or mites, but she does appear to be doing better and it might have been frostbite but i'm pretty sure its not, though some of the blood did come off the comb it looks like. We have never had a disease here so that hopefully decreases the chances of a disease. will post more pics if wanted.

Suspect she just had a near miss for joining some predator for dinner ... as to disease? Strong flocks demonstrate stronger resistance, but escapees can bring home any manner of virii, bacteria, etc. although there's little reason that I can see for much more than observation ~'-)

Might be that she was just a bit stressed from being out all night, a near dinner experience... hope she's continues to brighten up.

Good to know ... thanks for the update. Oh, and don't forget to ground her for climbin' out the window ... I would suggest no tic-tac-toe for a week, and she's not allowed to invite the dog or raccoon or hawk or ... none of her new 'friends' over to play ~'-)
