I was doing a little photo shoot of my chicks for their 5 week pics and when I picked up my Golden Campine I notice she had something under her wing. The best way to describe it is it looks like a yeast infection? It is yellow and scabby, waxy in texture, flakes off but it is sore looking around the edge. She has it under both wings in her "pits". Is it a yeast infection, and if it is how do I treat her. None of the other chicks that are housed with her have it and she is percky, eating, drinking, just a normal little chick just with crusty underwings.
Here is the best pic I could get of it

If it's truly yeast then you might get some gentian Violet, you can find it at most drug stores, you might have to ask for it. It's the same stuff thats in Blue-kote, it will treat fungal infections. Also Nystatin, but not sure if you have to have a perscription for it from a vet.. Any way all the best and hopefully either of these products will clear it up.

You can also treat yeast/fungal infection with medications sold for athletes foot like lamictal. It also work on ringworm. (a fungus). If it doesn't seem to help in about 3 days, it might be something else altogether. Good luck!
