Aside from the two ladies with scaly leg mites, we've moved two other sick chickens into the mudroom/infirmary.
My sweetheart Button (Nankin Bantam) has had sneezes since October, but yesterday she seemed too warm and the left side of her head is huge and swollen. Her eyes are puffy and red and often her left eye is frothy and nearly shut. She's having trouble breathing, raspy. I'm worried - she's my favorite.
Cochin Anna Nicole has a bunch of problems. She has been with me for about a year and has never been fully feathered. I had just attributed it to being one of the roosters favorites, but now I think something else. Mites? She had a saddle on for a bit and I think it didn't help.
And her poo is bizarre
And, she was limping, so we looked and there was a spot. Bumblefoot? So I soaked her, pulled off the spot and tried to get out whatever was in. Nothing came out. She's miserable too. Hunched over.
